Natasha backs PDP candidate ahead of Ekiti guber

Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has declared support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Oluwole Oluyede, ahead of the June 20 election.
Akpoti-Uduaghan made the endorsement during the PDP campaign grand finale held in Ado-Ekiti, where party supporters and stakeholders gathered ahead of the poll.
According to her, she spent several days visiting communities across Ekiti State to mobilise support for the PDP candidate.
She described Oluyede as a capable and people-focused leader who can bring development and inclusive governance to the state.
She said Oluyede understands the needs of ordinary citizens, including market women, youths, civil servants, and community leaders.
The Senator added that the candidate has shown strong commitment to serving the people and improving their welfare.
She also described him as a unifying figure who can bring people of different backgrounds together and ensure fairness in governance.
Akpoti-Uduaghan said her support for Oluyede is based on his promise to run an inclusive government where all communities will feel represented.
She expressed confidence that Ekiti voters are well-informed and capable of making the right decision during the election.
According to her, the election should focus on choosing progress, development, and better opportunities for the state.
The senator also said she visited several communities, including areas with Ebira residents, to encourage participation in the election.
She urged voters to come out on election day and support a candidate who will prioritise peace, development, and unity.
Akpoti-Uduaghan described Oluyede as a leader with the experience and integrity needed to govern Ekiti State effectively.
The PDP campaign rally was attended by party leaders, supporters, and various groups, all expressing confidence in the party’s chances at the polls.
The Ekiti governorship election is scheduled for June 20 and is expected to be closely contested among major political parties.
