Lagos State University (LASU) has paid tribute to Prof. Olaide Adedokun from its Sociology Department as she concludes her service to the institution. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, shared the news in a statement to the media on Sunday.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello expressed that the Faculty of Social Sciences would deeply miss Adedokun, describing her as a courageous, friendly, and direct individual. She praised Adedokun as a rare talent, both a team player and leader, and someone whose passion was evident in all her endeavours.
The vice-chancellor went on to commend Adedokun for her invaluable contributions, noting that her academic excellence, innovative leadership, and steadfast dedication to the university would leave a lasting impact.
