Lagos rearraigns kidnap kingpin Evans for murder of two police officers

The Lagos State Government has re-arraigned convicted billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, before the Ikeja High Court on fresh charges bordering on the murder of two police officers.

The notorious kidnap kingpin appeared in court on Monday alongside one other defendant, and both pleaded not guilty to the new charges.

According to the prosecution, Evans allegedly participated in the killing of two police officers during one of his kidnap operations, adding to the long list of crimes already before the court.

Evans is currently facing five separate criminal cases involving kidnapping and murder across Lagos courts. He has already been convicted in two of those cases and sentenced accordingly.
