The Ilorin Emirate Baloguns, Magajis, Alanguas, and Daudus in Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas of Kwara State have assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) of victory in the 2027 general elections.

This commitment was announced by the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr. Usman Abubakar Atolagbe Jos, during a statewide thank-you visit to his palace by APC candidates and the party’s gubernatorial candidate last weekend.

Dr. Jos, speaking on behalf of the Emir of Ilorin, described the visit as thoughtful and a sign of respect for the traditional institution, praying that Almighty Allah grant the candidates success at the polls.

“When we heard you were coming to Ilorin West, the Emir of Ilorin, under whose domain this local government falls, mandated us to receive you. You are being received here this afternoon by Magajis, Alanguas, and Daudus in Ilorin West Local Government as instructed by the Emir.”

“As you have stated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Sardauna Ngeri asked you to visit us, we are happy to receive you and we pray Almighty Allah to protect you and grant you victory. I also pray for the successful completion of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration,” Balogun told the candidates in his palace.

The District Head of Ballah, Alhaji Kolapo Abdulkadir, led other district heads in Asa Local Government Area to receive the APC delegation and prayed for the electoral success of Hon. Danladi and other candidates.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Danladi thanked the traditional, religious, and party leaders in Ilorin West and Asa for their support, expressing confidence that their backing would lead the party to victory.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for maintaining national stability, stating, “The President has done a lot, and a second term is assured for the continuity of progress and development.”

“We are here to thank the people of Ilorin West. That is the purpose of our visit today. We are here to reassure you that, as you stand with the APC, we are going to win.”

“In this hall are youth, women, and elders. The key stakeholders of Ilorin West Local Government are gathered here. We thank you for standing by us. I want to reassure you that you will not be disappointed with the APC.”

“You already know what your son, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has accomplished for Ilorin West and Kwara State in general. The progress he has initiated will not stop. You will not regret supporting SYD.”

Member of the House of Representatives and candidate for the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya, speaking in Afon (Asa), expressed confidence that all party candidates would secure victory in 2027, adding that the people of Kwara State would not want to regress.

The Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority and Asa indigene, Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, remarked that Governor AbdulRazaq could not have achieved so much without the adequate support of the legislative arm.

Describing AbdulRazaq as a grassroots politician with significant electoral value, Alakawa commended Danladi for providing the Governor with the legislative support needed to fulfill his campaign promises.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, highlighted that Asa Local Government Area benefited greatly under the current administration, citing achievements in key sectors including education, infrastructure, health, and social investment programs.

Alhaji Issa Amasa, a party elder in Asa, vouched for the integrity, humility, and competence of Hon. Danladi, advising him to remain accessible to the public after achieving his political goals.

Engr. Jimoh Ajani Olarenwaju, an aide to Senator Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe from Ilorin West, emphasized that party politics requires members to remain loyal and dedicated to the party’s ideals, appealing to aggrieved members to embrace peace and work for the party’s success.

“Party politics is about dedication, commitment, and absolute loyalty to the party’s leadership. That is what every politician should demonstrate. In the APC, we support all candidates produced through our primaries,” Olarenwaju said.

The party embarked on the statewide visit to express gratitude to members following the conclusion of its primaries in May. The tour began last weekend in Kwara South and Kwara Central Senatorial Districts, with the Kwara North Senatorial District schedule set to commence soon.
