Osun Hunters endorse Oyebamiji, pledge over 100,000 votes

Days before the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, the hunters’ community in the state endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, pledging to mobilise more than 100,000 votes for him.

The head of the hunters, Hammed Nureni, disclosed this while expressing the group’s dissatisfaction with the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Nureni said the decision to support Oyebamiji became necessary following the alleged failure of the current administration to address the concerns and demands of hunters in the state.

According to him, “We want to assure you that by August 15, we are going to vote out the present administration. We want this to be a lesson to all political parties that you don’t underrate anyone.”

“We tried to negotiate with the current administration to let them know what our problem is, but we wrote to them and they called us useless people. That is why our people have decided to vote them out.”

“We have up to 14,000 members, and adding our wives, children, and friends, we will deliver over 100,000 votes come August 15.”

Meanwhile, the APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, described the development as timely, stating that it demonstrated how various segments of Osun State have endorsed his candidacy.

Oyebamiji noted that the endorsement gladdened his heart, expressing confidence that he would win the August 15 election without rigging or external support, relying solely on God and the people of Osun State.

He said, “This is coming at the right time, and it signifies that all segments of Osun have endorsed Bola Oyebamiji to be governor of the state.”

“It gladdens my heart that we will win this election without any rigging and without any support apart from God and the people of Osun.”
