Kwara State Government has tasked the Youths to explore opportunities abound in the society to create wealth for themselves to solve some of the challenges, rather than waiting for the non-existence white collar jobs.

 Towards this ends, the State government remains  commitment to youth empowerment  aimed at critical engagement of youths for the sustainable development of the State.

This  was made known by the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Ndanusa Usman Shehu, While Speaking during a radio programme  in Ilorin, monitored by our Correspondent.

Shehu explained that the forthcoming National Youth Conference is a golden opportunity for youths to engage, learn, and contribute meaningfully to National discourse , pointing out that, the State  youth’s inclusiveness government would be showcased to serve as a models 

The commissioner advised fresh graduates to examine their immediate environment, identify existing challenges, and create innovative solutions towards meaningfully engaging themselves. “Opportunities lie in the problems around us. Young people must become solution providers”, he stated.

He charged the youths to leverage Modern Technology and lnformation tools positively. further advocated for increased participation in livestock production and other value-adding ventures, rather than rely solely on government for everything.

While commending the state Governor,  Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON,  the trust reposed  on the youth who are cabinet members to add values to the socioeconomic development of the State. nothing “The Governor gave me a platform when I was unknown, and  I stand as a Commissioner. That’s why I always urge the youths to stay positive and never look down on themselves,” he said.

The Commissioner also lauded the Governor for the tremendous strides recorded in the educational sector, noting that the administration’s reforms are laying a solid foundation for the future.

He highlighted that the Kwara State Youth Technical Working Committee is made up of young people drawn from diverse sectors, who are expected to work at the grassroots level to identify the needs and aspirations of youths across communities.

Shehu admonished the young people to take their education seriously, stressing that formal education, when combined with practical skills and handwork, enhances productivity and prospects.
