The Kogi State Government has pledged to ensure justice for murdered photojournalist, Ayo Aiyepeku, vowing to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident.

In a statement issued in Lokoja, Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, said Governor Ahmed Ododo has directed security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Aiyepeku’s killing and the subsequent death of the prime suspect.

“Justice may not bring the dead back, but it will console the family that their son did not die in vain,” the statement read, reaffirming the government’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of citizens.

The government assured that no effort would be spared in ensuring the perpetrators are held accountable. It also urged the public to stay vigilant and support investigations by providing credible information to law enforcement agencies.
