Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has sworn in Sa’idu Yahaya as the new Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Government House on Wednesday, was administered by the state’s Attorney General, Haruna Isa Dederi.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in Yahaya’s ability to reposition the commission and reinforce the state government’s anti-corruption drive. He urged him to carry out his duties with integrity, fairness, and diligence, stressing the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability in public service.

In his remarks, Yahaya pledged to intensify efforts to combat corruption, recover looted assets, and ensure justice for citizens of the state. He assured that he would live up to the trust placed in him.

Yusuf had earlier nominated Yahaya and forwarded his name to the Kano State House of Assembly for confirmation, which was duly approved.

Before his appointment, Yahaya worked with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), where he gained expertise in investigation, prosecution support, and asset tracing.
