Jigawa Police promotes 155 officers

The Jigawa State Police Command, in recognition of hard work, dedication, and outstanding service, recently decorated one hundred and fifty-five (155) police officers at the State Police Headquarters, Dutse.
The promotions reflect the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to reward diligence and inspire excellence among its personnel.
The extensive list of promoted officers included key personnel across various ranks.
Two Superintendents of Police (SPs) were elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), namely CSP Sama’ila Solomon and CSP Ahmad Baila Mohammed. Additionally, three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to Superintendents of Police (SPs), including SP Abdullahi Tahir, SP Haruna Ibrahim, and SP Idris H. Rabiu.
The largest group of promotions saw one hundred and fifty (150) unconfirmed Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs II) confirmed as substantive Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).
Among those confirmed was the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer for the Jigawa State Command, ASP Ibrahim Sunusi Idris, alongside ASP Muhammad Kabir Musa and others.
The decoration ceremony was graced by members of the Command’s Management Team, as well as family, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the officers' remarkable milestone.
In his address, the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Dahiru Muhammad, congratulated the newly promoted officers.
He conveyed the heartfelt message of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, who commended their dedication but warned them that promotion demands they justify the confidence reposed in them.
CP Muhammad stressed that promotion comes with greater responsibility and charged the officers to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity through professionalism, integrity, and discipline.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, CSP Sama’ila Solomon expressed profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, and the Command’s Management Team for the recognition and encouragement.
He pledged the promoted officers' renewed commitment to upholding the ideals and objectives of the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony concluded with a photo session and words of encouragement from the senior officers present, marking yet another stride in the Command's continuous effort to motivate its personnel.
