Unknown gunmen abduct wife, son along Obada Oko 

Unknown gunmen have abducted a woman and her son along Obada Oko, Abeokuta.

According to eyewitnesses, the tragic event occurred early Tuesday, 4th November 2025, when armed men ambushed their vehicle along the busy Obada Road. 

The victims were in one black Toyota Corolla belonging to one Mr. Temitope Pedro.

The attackers opened fire indiscriminately, forcing motorists and pedestrians to flee for safety.

In the chaos, the owner of the vehicle managed to escape the scene, but unfortunately, his wife Mrs Ajoke Pedro and son were taken away by the assailants. 

The gunmen reportedly fled the area immediately after the abduction.

The motive behind the abduction remains unknown at this time, and no group has claimed responsibility for the act.

Security operatives have since launched an investigation and intensified efforts to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims safely.

Community leaders have condemned the attack, calling for urgent government intervention and improved security measures in the area to prevent a recurrence.
