I’m part of ADC from beginning – Peter Obi

….. urges all opposition parties to come together for rescue mission
The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, Peter Obi, has declared that he was involved in the coalition of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from inception and played an active role before the party was launched.
Peter Obi made the declaration on Sunday evening at an X Space event organized by his followers, ‘Obedient’, urging his followers to be part of those who will change Nigeria for the benefit of all.
He said that it’s time for all the opposition parties to come together to rescue Nigeria from embarrassment moment.
Peter Obi stressed that joining ADC is not about stepping down for anybody, noting that Atiku Abubakar remains a very senior brother he respects and always wants to work with.
According to him, Let me say it again from the time this coalition was being finalized and announced, I was part of it. And I said it that day, I was part of it in attending the meeting. I was part of it in whatever contribution they did. So I’m not a new person in it. When you are forming a party is like forming a company. We have put the managers there and I believe the chairman of ADC today is a competent person.
“And we are coming together as parties, as individuals, and our purpose is that the way things are going is wrong and we want it changed.
“It is no longer about the party thing, It is all of us coming together because we are in special threat, where things are collapsing. So all of us whether you are in PDP, you are in labour, you are in NNPP, whatever parties, we need to come together and save democracy that is collapsed.
“I’m part of ADC, whether somebody asking question whether is stepping down for me. Let me tell you one thing I’ve always said, Atiku remains a leader I respect. He remains a very senior brother I respect and always want to work with. I’m not talking about anybody stepping down for me.
“I’m going to ADC all of us have agreed to come together to work as a family, and when we get to that family.
