The New Executive Secretary, Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), Dr. Victoria Egunjobi, has charged the staff of the agency to embrace unity and transparency, adding that teamwork is pivotal to achieving the Agency’s goals.

Speaking during her first official engagement with the staff of the Agency at its Tisco Plaza’s office, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja, today, Dr. Egunjobi promised to operate an open-door policy and ensure that every staff member of the Agency is given a sense of belonging.

She also implored them to be transparent and diligent in discharging their duties, adding that she will endeavour to tackle the pressing challenges and prioritise staff welfare during her tenure in office.

“We can not achieve our goals if we don’t work as a team. There is a need for us to put aside our individual differences and work together as a family, irrespective of our backgrounds or levels in the service. The man at the gate is as important as the person in the office who treats the file. We are here to complement one another in a bid to render service to a multitude of Lagosians by ensuring we improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare service delivery”, she said.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, Director, Inspection and Monitoring, Dr. Olayinka Daniel stated that HEFAMAA as the foremost health regulatory agency, was fortunate to have a thoroughbred professional in the person of Dr. Victoria Egunjobi, as its Head who will be able to raise the standard of professionalism established by her predecessor, Dr. Abiola Idowu.

Imploring the staff to give the Agency’s new boss the necessary support to succeed, Dr. Daniel assured the new Executive Secretary of the cooperation required for her to pilot the affairs of the Agency.

Dr. Victoria Egunjobi, a seasoned Public Health Physician, has over two decades of experience in the Lagos State Public Service. Until her appointment last week as the Executive Secretary of HEFAMAA by Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, she served as Director of Disease Control at the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
