FY 2026: PZ Cussons Nigeria revenue hits ₦260.5bn

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has announced a 22 percent increase in revenue to ₦260.46 billion for the financial year ended May 31, 2026, up from ₦212.63 billion reported in the corresponding period of 2025.
According to the audited results announcement and corporate actions filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the fast-moving consumer goods company demonstrated significant financial recovery and resilience despite macroeconomic headwinds.
The company’s recurring operating profit rose by 117 percent to ₦37.1 billion, while total operating profit surged to ₦77.1 billion, buoyed by organic business growth, favorable currency adjustments, and non-recurring income derived from scrap sales and non-core asset disposals.
Profit before tax advanced to ₦77.3 billion, while profit after tax stood at ₦45.2 billion for the fiscal year. The improved earnings trajectory also bolstered the group’s balance sheet, moving total equity into positive territory at ₦66.6 billion as of May 31, 2026, compared to a negative equity position of ₦17.3 billion recorded in the previous financial year.
Management attributed the solid top-line performance and turnaround to sustained investments in priority brands, product innovation, disciplined route-to-market execution, and strict cost containment.
In response to the strong financial rebound, the Board of Directors has proposed a dividend payout of ₦2.50 per share, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
