Edo Gov suspends livestock commissioner, LPRES coordinator over official infraction

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa and the State Project Coordinator of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (LPRES) Project, Mrs. Ikpikhumi Betsy Aghaku, over what the government described as an official infraction.
The suspension was announced in a special government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor did not disclose the specific nature of the alleged infraction that led to the action.
According to the directive, both officials have been ordered to immediately hand over all official documents, records, and government property relating to the LPRES Project to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
They were also directed to report to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government for a comprehensive debriefing on the LPRES Project as part of the administrative process.
