The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola (CON), has extended heartfelt Easter wishes to the people of Osun and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state, calling for unity, perseverance, and renewed optimism.

In a goodwill message marking the 2025 Easter celebration, Oyetola described the season as one of profound spiritual importance, marked by sacrifice, renewal, and the enduring promise of hope. His remarks were conveyed through a statement issued by his Media and Communications Adviser, Dr Bolaji Akinola, from the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy in Abuja.

“Easter teaches us that beyond every shadow lies light, and after every trial, there is triumph,” Oyetola said.

“It is a time to reflect on the values of love, selflessness, and unwavering faith — virtues that should shape our lives, communities, and aspirations as a people.”

Addressing the residents of Osun, the Minister praised their resilience and unwavering determination in the face of adversity. He reaffirmed his ongoing commitment to the welfare and advancement of the state, despite his current role in the federal cabinet.

“Though I serve nationally, Osun is home — the place of my roots, my people, and my deepest inspiration,” he said.

“I carry Osun with me always and remain committed to championing the cause of our people. I believe that together, brighter days lie ahead.”

As leader of the APC in Osun, Oyetola used the occasion to commend the dedication and steadfastness of party members. He encouraged them to embrace the spirit of Easter as a moment to recharge and recommit to the party’s vision.

“To the APC family in Osun, I express my gratitude. Your loyalty, strength, and tireless support for our ideals keep the movement alive. Let this season inspire a fresh momentum. Our journey is not over — it is entering a new chapter,” he said.

He called on party members to stay unified and focused, noting that internal discipline and strategic coordination remain essential in the mission to regain political leadership in the state.

“We must remain anchored in our purpose, united in our efforts, and clear in our goals. The people of Osun are looking to us for principled leadership and a credible alternative. We cannot afford to disappoint them,” he urged.

Oyetola also echoed the federal government’s dedication under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to delivering tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians. He said the administration remains steadfast in its economic reforms and inclusive approach to governance, with positive impacts expected across all states, including Osun.

He concluded his message with prayers for healing, peace, and renewal across the state: “This Easter, may our land know peace, may the afflicted find healing, the weary receive strength, and every home be filled with hope. May Osun rise again — stronger, united, and more prosperous than ever.”
