The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, led other All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders on Wednesday to Shanono to campaign ahead of Saturday’s state House of Assembly bye-election for the Shanono and Bagwai State Constituency.
News Men report that the bye-election is being held to fill the gap created by the demise of Halilu Kundila, a member of the APC.
During the campaign, which drew thousands of APC supporters, Barau appealed to the people of the constituency to massively vote for Ahmed Kademu, the APC candidate.
Jibrin urged the people to show their appreciation for the administration’s reforms by voting in support of the ruling party, emphasising that it was time to reciprocate the benefits they had enjoyed.
In his remarks, Rep.Kabiru Abubakar, the representative of Bichi Federal Constituency, called on the people to support the APC candidate for a brighter future.
He highlighted the party’s commitment to developing the constituency, including a pledge to construct N10 billion worth of rural roads.
