Champion Breweries posts N2.3bn profit in H1 2025

Champion Breweries Plc has reported a profit of N2.3 billion for the first half of 2025, marking a strong turnaround from the N386.7 million loss recorded during the same period in 2024.

The company disclosed the figures in a corporate filing with the Nigerian Exchange Ltd, showing a 692% year-on-year growth in profit.

Revenue surged to N15.93 billion in the first six months of 2025, up from N9.54 billion in the corresponding period last year. Gross profit also more than doubled, rising from N3.7 billion to N7.89 billion year-on-year.

Earnings per share improved significantly, moving from a loss of 4.94 kobo in H1 2024 to a gain of 25.57 kobo in the review period.

The company’s gross margin also increased to 49.5%, up from 39.1% in the first half of 2024, while total assets stood at N25.95 billion.

The results reflect Champion Breweries’ strong recovery and improved operational efficiency amid a challenging macroeconomic environment.
