Chadwick Boseman’s family sues Widow over estate distribution

Nearly six years after the passing of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, his brothers Derrick and Kevin Boseman have filed a lawsuit against his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Boseman’s parents, seeks Ledward’s removal as administrator of the late star’s estate.

The suit alleges that Ledward failed to properly distribute estate assets in accordance with a 2022 court order, which mandated that half the estate go to his parents and half to Ledward.

The family claims Ledward continues to exercise unilateral control over undisclosed assets, royalties, and intellectual property rights, withholding overdue financial distribution and closure from Boseman’s elderly parents.
