Media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe has lashed out at Senator Adams Oshiomhole over his remarks criticising the former Vice President’s political stance.
Oshiomhole, while speaking during an interview on Channels Television at the weekend, alleged that Atiku had “allowed himself to be consumed by politics.”
His comment followed Atiku’s recent criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Plateau State for the burial of the mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, despite rising insecurity across the country.
Atiku had accused the President of showing indifference to the widespread killings by terrorists nationwide, arguing that such visits were insensitive in a time of national distress.
Reacting on Tuesday through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Paul Ibe dismissed Oshiomhole’s statement as an act of sycophancy, saying the former APC chairman was “consumed by fear and hate” for his principal.
“I have sympathy for Oshiomhole. He is tailoring sycophancy with a designer touch and has allowed himself to be consumed by the hate and fear of @atiku,” Ibe wrote.
