Nigerian Afrobeats artiste Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has stirred reactions online after sharing photos of himself holding stacks of naira, accompanied by the caption “Ojo Aje,” a Yoruba phrase meaning “Day of Wealth.”

In the images posted on his official handle, the Afrobeats star appeared in a black “POLIZEI” T-shirt, leopard-print cap, and layered pearl necklaces, projecting a bold, opulent style that quickly caught the attention of fans.

The post generated widespread engagement, with many followers praising his confidence and signature “Mr Money” persona. A user, known as Baddy of Lagos, noted that the singer had long embraced the nickname even before attaining major financial success.

Videos circulating online also showed the artist at a club setting, further amplifying the buzz around the post and reinforcing his larger-than-life image.

However, some observers raised concerns about the display of naira in light of regulations on currency handling in Nigeria, referencing past incidents involving public figures.
