The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its planned reception for the Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas, earlier scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
The event, expected to hold at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, has been put on hold as the nation grapples with the killing of security personnel and the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State.
In a statement signed by Mr Felix Morka, CON, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, the party said the decision was taken as a mark of honour to the armed forces and citizens who lost their lives to acts of terror.
The APC noted that security operatives continue to make immense sacrifices in the defence of the country, adding that the party stands firmly with families mourning their loved ones.
According to the statement, the party also expressed deep concern for the innocent students abducted by criminal elements, praying for their safe return and comfort for their families.
The APC reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to exterminating insurgency, banditry, and all forms of violent extremism threatening Nigeria’s stability.
