A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, the APC Grassroots Governance Group (APCG3), has thrown its weight behind Professor Nentawe Yilwatda following his emergence as the new national chairman of the party.
Yilwatda was elected on Thursday by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), succeeding Abdullahi Ganduje who recently resigned. His nomination received widespread endorsement from key party stakeholders.
In a congratulatory message signed by its national coordinator, Amechi Chucks Oyema, the group hailed Yilwatda’s appointment as timely and well-deserved. The group noted that his leadership comes at a pivotal moment when the APC is undergoing internal reforms and repositioning for greater political success.
“Your well-deserved appointment comes at a time when our party is being re-engineered for more successes,” the statement read. “It also comes at a time when our able President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is taking bold decisions aimed at making Nigeria better for the citizens.”
The APCG3 expressed confidence in Yilwatda’s ability to steer the party towards stronger unity and improved electoral outcomes. They cited his academic background, leadership track record, and political experience as key assets that will benefit the party’s future.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Yilwatda’s leadership and working with him to advance the APC’s grassroots agenda across the country.
