Aiyedatiwa hints at reappointment of sacked aides

Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Wednesday has hinted on the re-appointment of his sacked aides.

Recall that the Governor on Monday announced the dissolution of 650 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs).

However adressing participants during a walk held on Wednesday at the Government House, Governor Aiyedatiwa addressed former political aides who were recently disengaged, commending their continued loyalty and visible participation in the march.

He assured them that the ongoing restructuring would not exclude committed individuals, hinting at fresh appointments.

“You remained committed even after leaving office. That loyalty will not be ignored. Previously, we had about 650 aides, but the plan now is to appoint 1,000. Many of you will still have roles to play,” he assured.

Governor Aiyedatiwa further noted that certain positions remained critical, adding that some individuals would continue to be indispensable to governance.

Marking the beginning of a new month, the governor offered prayers for participants, urging them to complement physical activities with spiritual devotion through fasting and prayer.

He expressed optimism that the month of April would usher in good health, renewed strength and prosperity for the people.

Speaking earlier, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Segun Omoyofunmi, said the massive turnout demonstrated the confidence in the Aiyedatiwa administration by the people.
