APC making desperate efforts to attract Bauchi Governor - Abdullahi

The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is making desperate last-minute efforts to prevent Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, from joining the opposition.
Reacting to reports of an APC delegation visiting Bauchi, Abdullahi suggested the ruling party is panicking over the shifting political landscape.
The spokesperson alleged that only hours after Governor Mohammed indicated his intention to defect to the ADC, the APC dispatched its National Chairman and several governors to Bauchi to negotiate.
According to Abdullahi, the ruling party offered to receive the Governor on his own terms in an attempt to stall the move.
“The hustle is real!” Abdullahi remarked, adding, “A few hours after Governor Bala Mohammed indicated his plan to join the ADC, the APC dispatched its National Chairman and governors to Bauchi to beg him, promising to receive him on his terms. So, it takes only one defection to bring these people down from their haughty horses.”
Despite the visit, the ADC spokesperson maintained that the intervention would be unsuccessful.
He asserted that the momentum behind the opposition is now irreversible, stating, “But we know it is too late. Sorry. ADC is rising. Nigeria is rising.”
