The Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Isola, has highlighted key achievements of his administration in its first hundred days in office, while reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development.

Speaking at the 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Forum held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Hon. Isola outlined various strides made across critical sectors including education, health, market development, revenue generation, security, and social welfare.

He said one of the early milestones of his administration was the inauguration of the Legislative Council, which he described as a vital step toward ensuring effective collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government for smooth governance.

On market development, the chairman disclosed that his administration had successfully resolved longstanding disputes surrounding land and housing issues in the Oke Odo Market, restoring peace and stability to the commercial area.

Hon. Isola also revealed that efforts to restructure the council’s revenue architecture were already yielding positive results. He announced plans to procure new revenue buses to support the mobilisation of revenue officers and enhance internal revenue generation.

In the area of education, the council distributed free GCE forms to 500 indigent students as part of its effort to promote academic excellence and equal learning opportunities. He further disclosed that three public primary schools had been identified for urgent renovation and infrastructural repairs to create a more conducive learning environment.

Under health and social welfare, the chairman announced the procurement of new ambulance buses for Primary Health Centres (PHCs) within the council, aimed at improving emergency response and community healthcare delivery.

Hon. Isola reaffirmed that security remains a core focus of his administration, assuring residents that measures were being strengthened to ensure the safety of lives and property across all wards.

On economic empowerment, he said the council had launched the Renewed Hope Cash Empowerment Support Initiative, designed to provide financial assistance to vulnerable residents and small business owners.

The stakeholders’ forum, which brought together community leaders, youth representatives, market associations, and civil society groups, provided a platform for residents to make inputs into the forthcoming 2026 budget.

Hon. Isola reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and people oriented governance, assuring that the 2026 budget would reflect the needs and aspirations of all segments of the community.
