The race to the Agodi Government House has intensified as two prominent figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebayo Adelabu and Senator Sharafadeen Alli have officially obtained nominations forms.
Both aspirants obtained their Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
Adebayo Adelabu, the immediate past Minister of Power and a native of Ibadan through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Ajiboye collected the forms on his behalf.
Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, is expected to leverage his administrative experience and previous electoral outings in his quest for the party’s ticket.
Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District, appeared in person at the APC Secretariat to pick up his forms.
The Ibadan-born legislator demonstrated a show of influence, accompanied by a high-powered delegation of federal lawmakers from the state, including Remi Oseni, Akeem Adeyemi, Olamiju Alao-Akala, and Akin Alabi.
