Osun 2026: Oyebamiji will win elections before 10pm on Aug.15 – DG boasts

The Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has stated that the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke before 10 p.m. on August 15, 2026.
Hon. Oke, who represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, made this disclosure on Wednesday at the inauguration of the APC campaign committees held at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
He remarked that Oyebamiji represents competence, experience, and a clear vision for the future of Osun State, adding that the candidate is well-prepared to lead the state into a new era of development and prosperity.
“This incumbent government is gone; their days in office are numbered. The truth remains that the government has failed the people of Osun State on all fronts. In the area of administration, they have displayed incompetence and have not been fair to the people,” Oke said.
He emphasized that the APC is returning to address these issues, prioritize the welfare of citizens, and banish poverty, which he described as the party’s key agenda.
“I have no fear in my mind that we will win this election. As I have always said, we are experts in removing a sitting governor. We will remove Adeleke before 10 p.m. on August 15, 2026, and our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge,” he added.
Also speaking at the event, the lawmaker representing the Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, stated that an APC government would bring accountable governance and restore sanity to the state’s mining sector.
“We will ensure the governor does not return. Oyebamiji will bring about accountable governance to ensure that sanity returns to the mining business in the state and make more revenue available for the business of government,” Fadahunsi said.
He lamented that the state’s resources are being wasted through illegal mining and accused the current administration of encouraging the practice by charging N300 per miner in the Oriade and Obokun Local Government Areas.
He further noted that the government is losing hundreds of billions of naira in resources while exposing lands in Ijesaland, particularly in Obokun, Oriade, and Atakunmosa West and East to environmental degradation.
