… Tasks Nigerians on voters card registration

Comrade Osisiogu Osikenyi, a House of Representative aspirant for Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal Constituency under the platform of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the 2027 General Elections has challenged the ruling party – All Progressive Congress (APC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to identify evidence of capturing youths in their political activities.
He made the disclosure during the party’s stakeholders meeting for Nasarawa State chapter held in Karu local government Area on Saturday.
Comrade Osisiogu who was the convener of the engagement programme said “We as young people in Nasarawa State have seen youths in other parts of the country and beyond taking their destines in their hands not through violence but political expression.
“We have form youth associations at students level, communities level, state level and we still want more formation in terms of being able to express ourselves because it seems the crop our current politicians are not ready to pave way for the youths interest who doesn’t have billions of naira to spend in expressing their political interests to get their tickets.
” It appears the politicians don’t have enough space for women and people with disabilities for them to contribute their quotas to nation building. That is why we’re very submissive to the national leader of the YPP led by Cmr. Bishop Amakiri who is very thoughtful about the young people across the country to wake up and take charge of this country especially to voice out their desires in Nasarawa State.
The Rep aspirant emphasized that they’re also open to renowned politicians who are providing mentorship, guidelines and advice for their political ambitions.
He said ” We are taking guidelines from respected politicians and we want your children and youths to come out even those that have just turned 18 years to begin to grow their political futures in this party. It is a party for today, tomorrow and the future which is accessible to every youths and with it Nasarawa state will experience a better democracy.
“As you can see the YPP logo shows Nigeria map with fresh leaves symbolizing open doors with fresh opportunities, fresh ideologies to express your interest in the state House of Assembly, state government and National Assembly representing Nasarawa State like other states of the federation.
“We challenge the ruling party – APC, PDP and ADC to show us the place of young people in their parties and if they have fail to do that the doors of YPP is waiting for you. We challenge the big parties to show us the place of women and people with disabilities in their parties and if they fail YPP is for everyone.
Cmr. Osisiogu tasked on the young people to avoid going to the social media to complain about bad governances in the country but register for the ongoing voters cards as a means of eliminating poor leadership during the 2027 general elections.
“We are urging the people in Nasarawa State to go and register for their permanent voters card (PVC ) as a right to vote. I do not support people going on social media to insult our leaders because the way forward is to get your voter’s card and demonstrate it during the election to reflect the true picture of leadership.
The Rep Aspirant while appreciating the stakeholders and representatives from all the 13 local governments in Nasarawa state revealed that they’re waiting for national directives to set up YPP leadership structures in the state to capture various communities in local governments.
The Deputy National Technical Adviser of YPP, Hon. Engr. Promise Anuika Nwadigos who represented the National Chairman of the party at the event assured that the participants that the NEC will support the state structure both financially and morally in building a formidable party that will win most of the political seats in 2027 general elections.
He advised Nigerians to vote according to the qualities of the candidates not deception by politicians who will come to divide them through campaigns along religions, ethnic lines noting that every citizen today is feeling the impacts of inflation in the market, poor infrastructural development in this APC era.
Hon. Idris Alhassan who represented Karu LG at the meeting noted that they are well grounded to deliver YPP in 2027 elections in the council.
The women leader, Hajia Hadiza Inuwa Garga appeal to the people of Nasarawa State especially Keffi/Karu/Kokona federal constituency to come out en mass in support of the candidature of Cmr. Osisiogu as he has the charisma and leadership qualities without disparities to led the people at the National Assembly.
Cross sections of representatives from other local councils during their goodwill messages expressed their commitment to work with grassroots people to secure victory for YPP in the coming general elections.
