The Kogi State Government has announced a growing influx of high-value investments across key sectors of the economy, attributing the upward trend to the investor-friendly policies introduced by the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In a statement released on Thursday in Lokoja, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, noted that recent reforms in land and tax administration, coupled with enhanced infrastructure and improved security, have significantly boosted investor confidence.

“Kogi is rapidly emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for high-value investments in the country,” Fanwo said. “We are witnessing increasing interest and concrete commitments in sectors such as agriculture, solid minerals, hospitality, and other critical areas.”

He explained that the administration has taken a proactive stance by removing bureaucratic obstacles and developing policies that promote ease of doing business for both local and foreign investors.

“Our land administration process is now streamlined and technology-driven, allowing genuine investors to acquire land with minimal delay,” the statement read. “Similarly, our tax system supports business expansion, particularly for those investing in productive sectors of the economy.”

Fanwo noted that the current investment momentum aligns closely with Governor Ododo’s broader economic strategy, which prioritises industrialisation, job creation, and a diversified revenue base.

“We are committed to attracting investments that generate sustainable employment, invigorate local economies, and boost our internally generated revenue. Kogi is open for business, and the results are already visible,” he added.

The government reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining a safe and business-friendly environment, while encouraging more investors to explore the extensive opportunities available throughout the state.
