Kaduna State Legislative Service Commission has commended Governor Uba Sani for approving the release of funds for the successful conduct of the 2024 promotion examination exercise for legislative staff in the state.
The written segment of the examination, which had earlier been concluded, was followed by the interview phase held on Wednesday and Thursday. A total of 93 staff members from both the Kaduna State House of Assembly and the Legislative Service Commission participated in the process.
The interview sessions were presided over by a panel led by the Chairman of the Commission, Rt. Hon. Nuhu Goroh Shadalafiya.
Speaking at the end of the exercise, Shadalafiya described the promotion process as a strategic intervention to strengthen productivity and enhance morale within the state’s legislative workforce.
“The promotion examination is an essential driver of motivation and positive workplace culture. We are pleased with the successful and transparent conduct of this year’s exercise.
“This swift approval underscores His Excellency’s understanding of the importance of a motivated public service. It is a clear demonstration of responsive leadership,” the chairman added.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his timely approval of the necessary funds, which he noted reflects the administration’s commitment to civil service reforms and workers’ welfare.
Shadalafiya also acknowledged the support of the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Liman, for his role in enabling the smooth execution of the long-overdue exercise and for his broader commitment to workforce development.
Looking ahead, the Commission appealed to the governor to consider early approval for the 2025 promotion exercise, noting that consistent scheduling would further institutionalise a culture of efficiency and forward planning within the state legislative system.
