Veteran music producer Femi Lasode dies at 70

Renowned Nigerian music producer, filmmaker, and songwriter, Obafemi Lasode, has passed away at the age of 70.

Lasode, known for his influential role in Nigeria’s music and entertainment industry, died on Friday. His death was confirmed by former President of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Dr Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, who paid tribute to him in a statement.

Born on December 4, 1955, Lasode was celebrated for his work as a music producer, playwright, and film director, contributing significantly to the growth of African music and culture.
