A light-duty truck and a commercial motorcycle were involved in a collision on Monday at the Ikeja Under Bridge.
The incident, which occurred beneath the busy overpass, left the motorcycle badly damaged after it became trapped under the truck. The rider, however, escaped with minor or no injuries, according to eyewitness accounts.

Witnesses at the scene said the crash was caused by the rider’s wrongful parking, which led to the collision with the moving truck. The development briefly disrupted traffic flow in the area, as motorists slowed down to observe the situation and carefully navigated around the obstruction.
Some bystanders were seen assisting in clearing the scene, while others gathered out of curiosity, contributing to the temporary congestion recorded along the route.
Despite the impact, no fatalities were reported, and those involved did not sustain critical injuries. The quick response of passersby helped to remove the motorcycle from beneath the truck and restore normalcy.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority was not immediately present at the scene, but traffic gradually eased as the obstruction was cleared.
Incidents involving motorcycles, commonly known as commercial bikes, remain frequent in parts of Lagos, often attributed to unsafe parking, disregard for traffic regulations, and high traffic density.
Authorities have repeatedly urged road users, especially commercial riders, to adhere strictly to traffic rules to prevent avoidable accidents and ensure safety on major roads across the state.
Normal traffic flow resumed shortly after the accident scene was cleared.
