Troops raid Boko Haram camps in Borno, kill three insurgents

Troops of 7 Division, Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai have successfully carried out a clearance operation targeting known Boko Haram (JAS) terrorist hideouts in Tangalanga and Bula Marwa, Borno State.
The operation, which took place on 7 July 2025, was based on reliable intelligence reports indicating the presence and movement of terrorist elements within the area.
Military sources said the troops encountered resistance during their advance into Tangalanga, where they engaged and killed two insurgents.
Following the initial confrontation, the troops moved towards Bula Marwa after receiving fresh intelligence suggesting that terrorists were regrouping in the vicinity.
As the soldiers approached the settlement, the insurgents reportedly fled in various directions. One of the fleeing fighters was killed during the chase, and several key structures within the terrorist camp were demolished.
No casualties were recorded among the troops during the operation.
According to the sources, items recovered from the site include six AK-47 magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a Boko Haram flag.
