Transcorp Power Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading electricity generation companies and a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has reported a strong financial performance for the third quarter (Q3) ended September 30, 2025.

According to the company’s unaudited financial statements, revenue grew by 38% year-on-year to N308.5 billion, compared to N223.5 billion recorded in the same period of 2024.

The impressive growth was attributed to increased average power generation, reflecting the company’s sustained investment in expanding capacity and operational efficiency.

Gross profit rose to N119.7 billion from N96.5 billion in Q3 2024, representing a 24 per cent increase, while Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at N91.18 billion, up from N81.12 billion, a 12.4 per cent year-on-year growth.

Profit After Tax (PAT) also advanced to N68.42 billion, marking a 17 per cent increase from N58.4 billion reported in Q3 2024.

Commenting on the results, Chairman of Transcorp Power Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, said the company’s performance demonstrates its resilience and commitment to sustaining profitability despite prevailing economic challenges.

“Our performance in the third quarter, building on the positive momentum in the first half of the year, demonstrates Transcorp Power’s resilience and capacity to sustain profitability, supported by efficient operations and prudent cost management,” Nnorom stated.

“This sustained performance will further strengthen investor confidence in our capacity to create shared value and maintain our growth trajectory.”

Also speaking, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Power Plc, Mr. Peter Ikenga, said the company’s growth was driven by improved energy delivery and operational discipline.
