The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that he is targeting no fewer than 20 projects for inauguration during President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.

Wike, who disclosed this after inspecting several ongoing projects in Abuja on Monday, added that the definitive list of projects to be inaugurated by President Tinubu would be finalized before May 28.

He emphasized that these projects, once completed, would positively impact the lives of Abuja residents and boost the city’s economy.

Regarding the road project connecting Wuse with the Central Business District, the minister noted that the contractor had assured him it would be completed by mid-June.

While he praised the quality of the work, he admitted to having some reservations about meeting the delivery deadline.

“I’m concerned that even though the contractor has shown that the road will be completed by the second week of June, I’m not entirely confident. However, let us trust what they have said,” Wike added, noting that the project is progressing steadily with the first bridge completed and work currently underway on the second.

The Minister also visited the ongoing construction of the access road to the Mabushi Bus/Taxi Terminal and expressed confidence that the project would be delivered on schedule.

He also commended the quality of the Jahi interchange, which will connect Jahi, Gwarimpa, and Life Camp and assured residents of its timely completion.
