Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday arrived in Ado-Ekiti for a one-day working visit, during which she commissioned an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative.

Senator Tinubu, who also serves as the National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), touched down at the Ekiti Airport at exactly 1:09 p.m. aboard a white Airbus aircraft with flight number 5N-FGY.

The First Lady arrived alongside the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, several wives of state governors, and other senior government officials. Her arrival was marked by a colourful cultural display performed by members of the Ekiti State Performing Arts Company, showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage.

Among dignitaries in her entourage were the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; Hajia Laila Barau, wife of the Deputy Senate President; Mrs. Salamatu Gbajabiamila, wife of the Chief of Staff to the President; and Hajia Aisha Tajudeen Abbas, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Following airport reception formalities, Senator Tinubu proceeded to Ekiti State University, where she was scheduled to inaugurate the ICT Centre established under the Renewed Hope Initiative, a project aimed at enhancing digital learning and technological development among students and young Nigerians.

The visit underscores the Renewed Hope Initiative’s commitment to expanding educational and technological opportunities across the country while strengthening support for youth empowerment and capacity building.
