Teenager arraigned for allegedly stealing shop gate, gas cylinder in Ibadan

...As Court grants bail at N200,000 with two sureties
A teenager, Quoyumu Abass, was brought before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Wednesday for allegedly breaking into a shop and stealing various items.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Adeshina Folaranmi, the incident took place on 29 June at about 9:30 a.m. at New Garage, Ibadan.
Abass was accused of unlawfully entering the shop of one Mr Hammed Azeez and stealing items including the shop’s gate, a gas cylinder, and a measurement gauge.
The police stated that the offence contravenes Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant entered a plea of not guilty.
Magistrate Oluwabusayo Osho granted Abass bail in the sum of ₦200,000, with two reliable sureties in the same amount.
The matter has been adjourned to 21 August 2025 for hearing.
