Sanitation Exercise: Malam Madori, Kaugama clean filthy areas

In an effort to maintain a clean and healthy environment in Kaugama and Malam Madori Local Government Areas, the two local government councils conducted a sanitation exercise to eradicate filthy areas.

In Kaugama, the Council Chairman, Malam Usman Masaki Dan’sule, represented by the Special Adviser on Water and Sanitation, Muhammad Garba, stated that the exercise involved clearing drainages, culverts, streets, markets, and the secretariat to improve the cleanliness of the environment.

He urged residents to actively participate in the monthly sanitation programme, where he emphasised the importance of community involvement in every community development.

Meanwhile, the Council Chairman of Malam Madori, Salisu Sani Garun-Gabas, urged community members to participate fully to ensure all waste products are eradicated to improve conducive conditions.

The State Supervisor assigned to oversee the exercise in Malam Madori, Muhammad Bn Shu’aib, advised the sanitation committee to ensure a planning meeting is conducted prior to the exercise.

He further urged the committee to ensure sensitive areas are considered.
