SAHCO boosts Africa aviation ties

The management of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) has continued its push for stronger regional collaboration in Africa’s aviation sector, as senior executives held strategic talks with the Chief Operating Officer of Africa World Airlines on the sidelines of the Ethiopian Aviation Forum.
The SAHCO delegation was led by the Managing Director, Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, alongside the Executive Director, Cargo Services and Operations, Mrs. Boma Ukwunna. The engagement formed part of broader industry discussions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, cargo handling standards, and inter-airline cooperation across the continent.
The meeting with the COO of Africa World Airlines focused on opportunities for improved service integration, seamless cargo operations, and stronger partnerships to support growing air freight demand within West and Central Africa.
Industry observers at the forum noted that African aviation is entering a critical phase where collaboration between ground handling companies and airlines is essential to improving turnaround time, reducing operational bottlenecks, and expanding regional connectivity.
SAHCO officials reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering world-class ground handling and cargo services, noting that strategic partnerships remain central to improving efficiency across airports where the company operates.
They also emphasized the importance of leveraging such continental platforms as the Ethiopian Aviation Forum to build relationships that translate into practical improvements in service delivery and customer experience.
The discussions are expected to pave the way for deeper engagement between SAHCO and Africa World Airlines, particularly in cargo facilitation, operational coordination, and service optimization across shared routes.
