Retired OGTV broadcaster, security guard found dead in Ogun

A retired broadcaster with Ogun State Television (OGTV), Ms. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard have been found dead at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Ogun State, in circumstances suspected to be linked to foul play.
The incident was reported to the Owode Egba Division of the Ogun State Police Command after a resident raised an alarm over suspicious activities at the deceased’s residence.
Police detectives who responded to the distress call observed signs of forced entry and disturbance within the premises.
A search of the property led to the discovery of the security guard’s corpse inside the security post, while Oyesiku’s body was later found in her apartment.
Her vehicle was also reported missing from the premises, further deepening suspicions surrounding the incident.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Command said it had launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, had directed detectives to intensify efforts to uncover the facts of the case and apprehend those responsible.
According to the police, surveillance and intelligence-driven operations have been expanded across relevant locations as part of efforts to track the perpetrators.
The command also extended its condolences to the family of the deceased, the OGTV community, and members of the media.
