The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to quit its senseless rants and sort out its internal mess rather than blaming the judiciary and the ruling party for its self-inflicted legal woes.

Reacting to a recent Federal High Court judgment on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka accused the ADC of habitual hypocrisy regarding the rule of law.

According to the APC, the opposition party routinely hails the judiciary when judgments swing in its favor, only to cry foul, peddle conspiracy theories, and accuse the ruling party of collusion whenever rulings go against them.

The controversy follows a ruling by Justice Peter Lifu, which sacked the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the ADC and nullified all official actions and primary election processes conducted under its watch.

The court action comes on the heels of a challenge brought by aggrieved party officers over the leadership takeover of the Party by Atiku’s faction.

Dismissing accusations of external interference, the APC maintained that it was neither a party nor an interlocutor in the legal battle.

The party stressed that the crisis was the direct outcome of a reckless political misadventure and a flagrant violation of internal democracy by the ADC’s own leadership.

The APC advised the opposition camp to channel its energy into exploring legitimate constitutional avenues of appeal rather than engaging in partisan mudslinging or attempting to incite public unrest.

The APC further noted that an organization incapable of resolving its own internal contradictions is inherently unfit to govern the nation, adding that the APC and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remain completely unfazed by what it termed the wolf cries of a drowning opposition.
