The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has replied criticism on his alleged silence over the recent abduction of students and teachers in the Orire locsl government area of the state recently.
Replying to the criticism, the Speaker said, “Why will you attempt to politicize such a serious matter, especially on Twitter? If this matter affects you, why wouldn’t it have a more serious effect on me and others? Smh.”
The backlash comes at a highly sensitive time following recent high-profile political developments including Governor Seyi Makinde’s emergence as the APM Presidential candidate, Ogundoyin’s aborted governorship bid and his vehement denial of an alleged multi-million naira bribery plot aimed at destabilizing the state government.
