Oyetola donates N20m in support of Ataoja’s coronation book launch

The immediate past Governor of Osun State and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, has donated N20 million in support of a book launch held to commemorate the 15th coronation anniversary of the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Olaonipekun Larooye II.
The donation was announced on Friday at the launch ceremony, which took place at De-Distinguished Event Centre, Osogbo, as part of activities marking the monarch’s 15th year on the throne.
Oyetola, who was represented by the Executive Director, Marine Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr. Olalekan Badmus, popularly known as Omo Oloore, congratulated the monarch and described the gesture as a tribute to the Ataoja’s leadership and legacy.
In his remarks, the Minister said: “I am happy to witness this occasion laden with euphoria, excitement and celebration galore in honour of our father, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Olaonipekun Larooye II.
“As a sign of my heartfelt wishes to the coveted palace, I am donating N20 million in support of this book launch authored in celebration of Baba. I pray Almighty Allah continues to imbue our Kabiyesi with more intellect, divine guidance, wisdom and knowledge as he continues to lead the great sons and daughters of Osogbo in particular, and residents of the state capital in general.”
The book, unveiled during the ceremony, documents the monarch’s 15-year reign and the historical milestones of Osogboland.
