OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week will mark its 20th anniversary with a conference on energy security, regional market integration and investment in Africa’s downstream and midstream energy sectors from October 25 to 30, 2026.
The event, themed Secure Energy, Shared Prosperity, will hold at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, with the strategic conference and trade exhibition scheduled for October 26 to 29.
The conference is expected to bring together policymakers, regulators, operators, investors and service providers to discuss investment opportunities, regional petroleum trade and measures to strengthen energy supply across African markets.
According to the organisers, discussions will cover regulatory cooperation, infrastructure development, refining, gas, energy finance and the integration of African petroleum markets.
One of the sessions will examine Nigeria’s changing downstream market, focusing on competition, investment and consumer protection as domestic refining capacity and market conditions continue to evolve.
Other sessions will address regulatory cooperation across African oil and gas markets, West African fuel trade, refinery competitiveness, feedstock supply, petroleum logistics and emerging opportunities in gas and renewable energy.
The programme will also feature an Energy Finance and Investment Forum focused on mobilising capital for energy businesses and infrastructure, alongside discussions on tanker shipping, product distribution and supply chain resilience.
The trade exhibition will provide a platform for companies across refining, trading, shipping, storage, logistics and retail to showcase products and services and explore business partnerships.
Activities marking the anniversary will include the OTL Africa 20th Anniversary Industry Dinner and Awards, the third edition of the Founders’ Fireside Forum, networking sessions and a post-event tour of Dangote Refinery.
Since its inception in 2007, OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week has served as a platform for engagement among public institutions and private-sector operators across the downstream energy value chain.
