Osundecides: Gov.Adeleke casts vote, raises alarm over alleged plot to disrupt poll in Ede

Osun State Governor and governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has cast his vote in the ongoing 2026 governorship election while raising concerns over an alleged plot to disrupt the voting process in his hometown, Ede.

Speaking shortly after voting, Adeleke said the electoral process was progressing well, but he expressed concern over information he had received regarding the alleged deployment of a police officer from Port Harcourt, identified as “London,” to Ede.

He urged the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Commissioner of Police for the election, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) overseeing the exercise, and other security agencies to investigate the allegation and take necessary action.

Adeleke also called on residents of Ede to remain vigilant throughout the electoral process.

According to him, “As of now, it is going well. However, I have received information from my people in Osun State that a police officer called London was brought from Port Harcourt to the state to destroy my town, Ede, and disrupt the voting process.”

“I am calling on the IGP and all security agencies to watch out for this police officer from Port Harcourt. I understand that the APC brought him to Osun State to carry out a hatchet job and cause disruption in my town, Ede, so that people will not be able to vote.”

“I want the IGP, the Police Commissioner for the election, the DIG for the election, and all security agencies to take note and do the needful. I also urge all my people in Ede to be vigilant.”

“I also have it on good authority that they do not want to follow the standard process of moving from the polling units to the wards and then to the local government areas.”

“Instead, they want to take the process straight to the collation centre. This is unacceptable. They must follow the rules, and that is why I am alerting my people to stay alert. I know that, by the special grace of God, I will win this election,” he said.
