Osun Primary: 1,660 APC delegates to elect gubernatorial candidate

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 332 wards of Osun State have elected a total of 1,660 delegates who will elect the party’s gubernatorial candidate during the primary election.
Speaking at the APC State Secretariat in Osogbo on Tuesday evening, the chairman of the 2025 Osun State gubernatorial Congress delegate committee, Eng. Shehu Umaru Dange, said that five delegates were elected in each of the 332 wards of Osun state.
It will be recalled that the APC has fixed December 13th to hold the party’s gubernatorial primary election.
Dange commended the members of the party in the state for the peaceful conduct during exercise.
He urged them to ensure unity and harmony beyond the governorship primaries to record a wide‑margin victory in 2026.
According to him, “I am happy to announce to you that at the end of this collation of the ward Congress to elect delegate, a total number of 1660 were elected, those delegates will be responsible for the primary election of party, they are the delegate to elect the candidate of the party, APC.
“At this point I want to appreciate all those that participated in this exercise and special thanks to our leadership, the National Working Committee, for finding us worthy to conduct this exercise, and by the grace of God we are able to deliver by coming out with delegates in all the wards without any issue. We were able to elect 5 delegates in all 332 wards which will be responsible for electing the candidate for our party.
“We use this opportunity to call on all APC members across Osun State to continue there support for President Bola Hammed Tinubu’s Renew Hope agenda. They should ensure unity and harmony beyond the primaries. With that we will be able to support Mr President in his Renewed Hope agenda in creating a better Nigeria, with a stable democracy and a very strong party which is the greatest party in Africa which is APC,” he added.
