Osun Guber: APC pledges issue-based campaign

The Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council has announced that its electioneering campaign will focus strictly on policy issues aligned with the vision of its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming August 15 election.

In a statement issued over the weekend in Osogbo, the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, noted that the campaign structure was deliberately designed to be inclusive and results-driven.

Omowaiye stated that the committee plans to release the comprehensive list of council and committee members ahead of the August 15, 2026, polls.

He explained that the team comprises a blend of established and emerging politicians, upwardly mobile professionals, respected community and religious leaders, civil society advocates, and youth organizers.

According to Omowaiye, the campaign team will maintain consistency in communicating the party’s blueprint, which he described as practical and realistic regarding the socio-economic realities of Osun State.

He expressed confidence that the APC’s policy direction is best suited to address the economic and political challenges currently facing the state, which he claimed have persisted despite the significant resources available to the present administration.

The committee chairman further argued that the current government has failed to meet public expectations.

He asserted that despite receiving substantial allocations, the level of infrastructural development across the state does not correspond to the magnitude of available funds.

Throughout the campaign, the APC intends to demonstrate to the electorate that it represents the most credible platform for sustainable progress.

Omowaiye emphasized that good governance relies on competence, integrity, and experience.

He suggested that if governance were solely about financial resources, Osun State would have already achieved global standards of development comparable to Dubai or London.

He claimed that the state currently suffers from a lack of the requisite exposure and leadership capacity needed for meaningful transformation.

The APC campaign team remains resolute in presenting a compelling alternative by engaging voters with facts and a clear roadmap.

On behalf of the Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Omowaiye assured the people of Osun that the party is prepared to form a government by November 27, 2026, that delivers tangible progress.
