In a significant move to consolidate the ranks of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2026 governorship election, the party’s flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, has held a strategic reconciliation meeting with prominent legal practitioner Barrister Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (SAN), popularly known as K-Rad.

The meeting, which included members of Adegoke’s Tiwa n Tiwa political group, the State APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, and other critical stakeholders, was described as a major step toward strengthening the party’s internal structure and ensuring a united front for the upcoming polls.
Oyebamiji, in a statement following the engagement, emphasized that the interaction was driven by a spirit of consultation and a shared determination to prioritize the state’s interests above personal ambitions.
He noted that the discussions centered on deepening party unity, expanding collaboration, and creating an inclusive political environment where diverse viewpoints are accommodated.
The APC gubernatorial candidate reiterated his resolve to pursue sustained dialogue and conflict resolution across all levels of the party. He stressed that sincere reconciliation is the bedrock for a cohesive political order capable of wrestling power and delivering governance.
Speaking on the outcome of the meeting, Oyebamiji expressed confidence that the renewed cooperation among party heavyweights would yield measurable progress.
He affirmed that the collective vision is to steer Osun State back to the path of progressive governance, aligning the state’s development with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Political observers in the state view this engagement as a crucial development in the APC’s strategy to reclaim the state, signaling a potential end to internal factions that may have affected the party in previous outings.
