The Jigawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Youths Parliament has formally invited Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu to defect from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and join its fold ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Adamu Suleiman, the group cited Senator Nakudu’s strategic importance, extensive political experience, and influence as key reasons for the overture.

The Parliament described the call as a move to foster national unity and build a truly people-centered political platform, noting that Nakudu’s long-standing commitment to public service aligns with the ADC’s mission of good governance.

“Senator Nakudu is a highly respected figure whose presence in the ADC would significantly strengthen the party’s mission of good governance and justice for all,” the statement read.

The group assured the Senator that should he accept the invitation, he would be accorded full respect and fairness by the party leadership at both the state and national levels.

They emphasized the ADC’s commitment to internal democracy, equal opportunity, and the protection of the rights of all members.
Beyond Senator Nakudu, the Jigawa ADC Youths extended the invitation to other political actors in the state who feel marginalized or unfairly treated within their current parties.

“The ADC stands as a home for all progressive Nigerians who seek a political environment built on transparency, inclusion, and genuine democratic practice,” Suleiman stated.

The group concluded by asserting that with leaders of integrity like Senator Nakudu, the ADC is poised to deliver positive change for Jigawa State and Nigeria in the coming election cycle.
