Oseni set for Plymouth Argyle move in £60,000 deal

Nigerian striker Owen Oseni is on the verge of completing a move to English side Plymouth Argyle on a three-year contract, pending a routine medical scheduled for Thursday, June 26.

The 22-year-old forward is expected to be officially unveiled by the League One club following completion of final paperwork and medical clearance.

Sources have confirmed that Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren have agreed to release Oseni from his contract in exchange for a £60,000 settlement (approximately ₦127 million).

Oseni joined St Mirren during the January transfer window but was unable to find form, failing to register a goal in 11 appearances during the second half of the season.

Despite his limited impact in Scotland, Plymouth Argyle view the former Derby County academy graduate as a promising asset as they prepare for the 2025/26 campaign following their relegation from the Championship.

According to information obtained by AllNigeriaSoccer.com, Oseni attracted interest from multiple EFL League One and League Two clubs, but chose a move to Home Park after holding constructive discussions with Plymouth’s management.

If finalised, the deal will see the Nigerian forward remain with the Pilgrims until June 2028.

Before signing with St Mirren, Oseni spent time with Nuneaton Borough, Rushall Olympic, and Gateshead, having developed through the youth systems of Waterford and Derby County.
